1. Scope of Terms & Clinical Framework

Denturaa does not own or treat patients; all clinical care is provided exclusively by a network of independent host clinics. These Terms of Service govern your use of the Denturaa website, our online booking portal, and your engagement with these independent partner clinics across Birmingham, London, Manchester, Bristol, Nottingham, and Leeds.

Denturaa connects patients with registered dental clinics and clinical dental technology professionals. These terms operate alongside, and do not replace, the clinical consent forms, treatment plans, and medical history declarations agreed in person at your chosen clinic.

All clinical operations adhere strictly to the regulations and professional standards established by UK statutory dental regulators, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), and UK data protection law (UK GDPR/ICO).

2. Professional Standards, Registration & Clinical Scope

Professional Standards

All clinical examinations, denture designs, impressions, bite registrations, trial fittings, and final adjustments are performed exclusively by qualified healthcare professionals.

Under the Dentists Act 1984 (as amended) and statutory Scope of Practice guidelines, clinical care is delivered strictly according to professional qualification:

  • Edentulous Patients (No natural teeth): May be examined, assessed, prescribed for, and fitted directly by a qualified Clinical Dental Technician (CDT) without a dentist referral.
  • Partially Dentate Patients (With remaining natural teeth or roots): Must receive an oral health examination and written prescription/referral from a dental surgeon before partial denture fabrication or fitting can commence.
  • Implant-Supported Dentures: Dental implant placement and surgical interventions are carried out exclusively by qualified dental surgeons or implantologists. Overdenture prosthetics are constructed collaboratively under dental prescription.
  • Professional Qualifications: Patients can verify any treating clinician’s professional credentials and qualifications.

3. Valid Informed Consent & Statutory Duty of Candour

Clinical Standards & Duty of Candour

In compliance with statutory professional standards ('Obtain valid consent'), no dental treatment or irreversible procedure will take place without your full, informed, and documented consent.

Before starting any treatment, your clinician will explain the clinical findings, all viable treatment options (including doing nothing), the benefits, limitations, realistic aesthetic expectations, material choices, and full costs.

Duty of Candour: We are legally bound to uphold the statutory Duty of Candour. If an unintended incident or complication occurs during your treatment that causes or could cause moderate to severe harm, we will immediately inform you in person and in writing, offer a full explanation, provide a sincere apology, and deliver comprehensive remedial care.

4. Clinical Standards & Infection Control (HTM 01-05)

Clinical Standards

Our partner clinics operate under rigorous healthcare governance, ensuring safe care and treatment, high cleanliness and infection control, good governance, and staff competence.

All dental clinics comply rigorously with Department of Health Health Technical Memorandum 01-05 (HTM 01-05) for decontamination, autoclave sterilization, single-use instrument disposables, and laboratory disinfection protocols.

5. Transparent Consultation & ASA / CAP Code Advertising Compliance

ASA / CAP Code

In compliance with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising (CAP Code Sections 3 & 11) overseen by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA):

  • Free Consultation Terms: The complimentary consultation booked through our Google Calendar schedule is a free 30-minute clinical denture suitability and treatment option assessment. You are under no obligation to proceed with treatment.
  • Itemised Written Treatment Estimates: If you choose to proceed with treatment, your clinician will issue a comprehensive written treatment plan with fixed, itemised pricing before any clinical work or denture manufacturing begins.
  • Truthful Clinical Claims: Biological adaptation, speech adjustment, chewing comfort, and retention vary depending on individual bone ridge resorption, oral anatomy, saliva flow, and tissue health. We do not make misleading claims of 'universal unbreakable dentures' or 'guaranteed permanent suction' without clinical examination.
  • Custom-Made Medical Devices: All dentures, chrome frameworks, and prosthetic appliances are custom-made medical devices compliant with the UK Medical Devices Regulations 2002 (UKCA / CE marked materials) manufactured by registered dental laboratories.
  • Remote Photo Triage Terms: Any photographs sent via WhatsApp or digital forms are governed by our dedicated Photo Triage Policy (/photo-triage-policy), providing provisional visual guidance only, reviewed exclusively by qualified clinicians with absolute marketing privacy protections.

6. Online Booking Requests, Host Clinic Confirmation & Non-Liability for Cancellations

Booking Terms & Confirmation Rule

Online appointment scheduling through our website or Google Calendar schedule (https://calendar.app.google/9xSETLeBFFvqsvAYA) generates a provisional consultation request.

We work with an extensive network of independent third-party clinics across the UK. By submitting a booking request, you expressly agree to the following mandatory conditions:

  • Host Clinic Direct Confirmation Required: Appointments are ONLY confirmed once the host third-party clinic or practitioner directly confirms the booking with you via email or mobile telephone call. A web or calendar submission is a provisional request only.
  • Data Sharing for Availability & Contact: You expressly agree and authorize your contact information (name, phone, email, notes) to be shared with the host third-party clinic to enable them to contact you, verify availability, and confirm appointment times.
  • Non-Responsibility for Availability & Cancellations: Denturaa is NOT responsible for lack of appointment availability or the cancellation, postponement, or rescheduling of appointments by host third-party clinics, dentists, or clinical dental technicians.
  • No Financial Liability: Denturaa accepts no liability for any direct, indirect, travel, or incidental expenses incurred as a result of cancelled, unconfirmed, or unavailable appointments.
  • Cancellation by Patient: We request at least 24 hours' notice if you wish to reschedule or cancel your confirmed appointment, which can be done via your Google Calendar link or by notifying the host clinic directly.

7. Third-Party Clinics, Non-Employed Clinicians & Commission Disclosures

Booking & Commercial Policy

In accordance with our detailed Booking Policy (/booking-policy), patients are expressly advised and agree to the following operational structure upon booking:

  • Third-Party Sites & Rented Surgeries: We advise that we work with numerous third-party clinical sites, and we may rent a site, surgery room, or sessional clinic space, or permit a third-party company or partner dental practice to carry out consultations and treatments instead.
  • Treatment Delivery by Employees & Non-Employees: Treatments, examinations, impressions, and dental prosthetic procedures are carried out both by directly employed staff and by independent healthcare professionals who are not directly employed by Denturaa (including self-employed Clinical Dental Technicians, independent Dental Surgeons, locum practitioners, and third-party laboratory technicians).
  • Treating Clinician Responsibility: The treating clinician is solely and independently responsible for all clinical advice, diagnosis, and treatment provided.
  • Data Sharing with Host Clinics & Clinicians: Personal information, contact details, booking information, and clinical records are shared with third-party host clinics and healthcare professionals not directly employed by us to enable them to contact you and deliver care.
  • Commissions & Introduction Remuneration: Denturaa operates as an introduction and booking coordination service. We may obtain or receive a commission, referral fee, or commercial payment for introducing you to the third-party clinic or treating practitioner. You explicitly acknowledge and agree to this commercial introduction arrangement as part of our booking terms.

8. Non-Emergency Notice & Urgent Dental Care

Urgent Care Guidance

Denturaa and our online booking schedules are designed for scheduled, elective denture assessments and consultations. We do NOT provide an emergency dental triage service via this website.

If you are experiencing acute facial swelling, continuous dental bleeding, severe trauma, or difficulty breathing, do not wait for an online appointment. Immediately contact NHS 111, phone 999, or attend your nearest hospital Accident & Emergency (A&E) department.

9. Limitation of Liability, Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by clinical negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or English law.

Clinical treatment provided in clinic is the professional responsibility of the treating registered practitioner and their clinical indemnity provider.

These terms and any non-contractual disputes arising from website use are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

10. Patient Feedback & Complaints Escalation

If you have concerns about your clinical care, communication, or consultation experience, please see our dedicated Complaints Procedure page or contact our Compliance Lead at contact@denturaa.com.

All treating clinicians adhere to strict professional clinical standards. Patients receiving private dental care have the right to contact the Dental Complaints Service (DCS) at https://dentalcomplaints.org.uk.
